YouTube Premium is adding Peacock to the bundle. Here is how to save on your streaming bills

YouTube and NBCUniversal have launched a multi-year deal that includes Peacock's ad-supported library and live sports in the YouTube Premium subscription. By switching to the bundle in 2027, you can optimize your monthly entertainment spending and access more content with less friction.

YouTube is expanding its Premium subscription perks by adding Peacock's ad-supported shows, movies, and live sports. YouTube and NBCUniversal announced the multiyear U.S. agreement on July 27, 2026. Starting in early 2027, eligible U.S. subscribers will get access to Peacock's ad-supported tier directly through the YouTube app at no extra cost.

The bundle could make streaming easier to manage. YouTube Premium currently costs $15.99 / month, while Peacock's ad-supported plan starts at $10.99 / month. The companies have not yet published every eligibility and billing detail, so the total value will depend on how the bundle works with your current subscriptions. If you already pay for both services, compare the final YouTube Premium terms with your existing plans before making a change.

You will get Peacock content without adding another app to your routine. The agreement covers Peacock's library of series, movies, and originals, along with Peacock's live-sports portfolio. The announcement also says that a selection of live NBCUniversal sporting events will stream free on the NBC Sports YouTube channel. The deal does not mean every Peacock title or sporting event will necessarily be available through the bundle, so check the final lineup when the service launches.

There is still a separate option for fewer ads. Peacock's higher, mostly ad-free Premium Plus tier will be offered as a separate add-on through YouTube Primetime Channels. That gives you a choice between the included ad-supported tier and a paid upgrade, although the exact pricing and launch details should be confirmed before you subscribe.

The partnership gives Peacock a large potential audience. YouTube reported 125 million Premium and Music subscribers in 2025, while Comcast's most recent earnings report said Peacock had 48 million subscribers in the U.S. For viewers, the useful next step is simple: wait for the early 2027 launch details, compare the bundle with your current services, and check for duplicate billing before canceling or changing either subscription. That way, you can simplify your streaming setup without assuming savings that have not yet been confirmed.
